The Beaver Lodge Chalet

The Beaver Lodge Chalet is located only three blocks from historic downtown Fernie. It has been renovated from a historic house built in 1908 by the Bank of Commerce and has the owners Jenny and Kirk's special interior touches. The 4 second floor bedrooms have private and shared bathrooms to choose from, all with different views of Fernie and the mountains. The main floor consists of the kitchen, a large combination dining room/living room (2600sqft in total).

After a day on the slopes, relax in the seven person hot tub, while your 3 course gourmet evening meal is being prepared! The hosts at Beaver Lodge have 10 years experience in Europe and Canada running catered chalets and have been in Fernie since 1998. Kirk and Jenny operated a family owned fully catered chalet in Meribel, during the 95/96 and 96/97 ski seasons. Here in Fernie, Kirk works on the Pro Mountain Ski Patrol (so does their Golden Retriever 'Lily' who is an Avalanche Rescue Dog). Your other host Jenny is a ski instructor and local youth employment advisor. They have extensive local knowledge of the mountains and Fernie itself, which is a great advantage for first time visitors.

The speciality of this chalet is a daily cooked breakfast, freshly baked afternoon cakes and a 3 course gourmet evening meal served with BC wines. Airport transfers can be arranged and complimentary guiding offered. Singles, families, all ages and business groups welcomed.
